The Madrid Barbarians RFC was founded by players in Madrid with many decades of rugby experience. Having played for many years with several Madrid sides, the observation was that there were clubs that were either very serious… or very social, but nowhere for sociable people of all levels that wanted to train and play regular games of rugby.
The traditions of the club are based on those of its namesake the Barbarians RFC: “The Madrid Baa-Baas are a rugby club wich brings together players from different levels to play a few matches each year top lay attacking, adventurous rugby without the pressure of having to win.”
In essence that’s it. We offer players of all levels the oppotunity to play with likeminded individuals in a social, fun environment. Our club offers regular training.
